Boost your career, expand your network and strengthen your technical knowledge of sustainable mobility and commuter & regional rail services – all while enjoying Paris. Don’t miss this opportunity!
Registration is still open for the 8th edition of the UIC training event for Commuter and Regional Train Services (CRTS), a leading international programme dedicated to regional and suburban rail, to be held at UIC headquarters in Paris on 29 to 31 October.
This year’s training event is organised with the generous support of Hitachi and McKinsey & Company, and in cooperation with the EELISA European Universities Network.
The leitmotif of the 2025 edition – “Leisure and commuter travellers: different needs, same train” – underlines the dual mission of commuter and regional rail: serving daily commuters, tourists and occasional travellers, while remaining the backbone of sustainable mobility across Europe and beyond.
The programme will feature high-level speakers from Europe, Japan and China, who will share their experience of managing commuter and regional train services and the key challenges they face.
Presentations will address these systems from operational, IT, customer service, economic, legal and strategic perspectives, offering participants a comprehensive view of the sector.
This training event represents a unique opportunity for UIC members to gain an integrated vision of these essential services. Commuter and regional trains must serve passengers with very different needs – from daily commuters to international tourists – while dealing with complex challenges such as service frequency, resilience, multimodality and customer satisfaction.
By bringing together railway professionals, academics and industry leaders, CRTS provides a dynamic platform to exchange knowledge and strengthen strategies for delivering high-quality, sustainable passenger services.
Secure your place – registration is still open.
